Dawkins, NickolasNickolas Dawkins, an ELPS Masters program graduate, is a DPS principal recognized for excellence by the DPS Foundation for his transformative efforts and impact on student’s quality of education. He works to close achievement gaps and increase access and equity to experiences that create significant impacts in the lives of his students. Morris-sherer, Suzanne v2Suzanne Morris-Sherer, an Alumni from the ELPS Masters program and Ritchie Cohort, is the principal of Thomas Jefferson High school of DPL. She was recognized during National Principals Month for her hard work teaching her students at Thomas Jefferson High School to “aspire to achieve”. Rodriguez, JesúsJesús Rodriguez, an graduate from the ELPS Ritchie Program for School Leaders and ELPS Ed.D. candidate, is the current principal at Trevista elementary school. His success in turnaround leadership at Trevista has created “an environment that sets high and clear expectations but also celebrates joy”. Mears, CarolynDr. Carolyn Lunsford Mears, an ELPS Ph.D. graduate and current ELPS adjunct faculty, is an renown author, presenter, and researcher. She is best known for her “distinctive qualitative approach” that brings the research to life in her book Reclaiming School in the Aftermath of Trauma: Advice Based on Experience (2012). As an educator whose son survived the shootings at Columbine High School, Carolyn enrolled in the University of Denver to conduct dissertation research as a way to help others faced with tragedy.  Read More…

rahn, zacharyZachary Rahn, an alumni who received his Principal Licensure through the ELPS Certification program, is currently the principal at the innovation school Ashley Elementary. Since 2013, Zachary has reinvented the school by improving academic achievement as well as enhancing school culture. Default 150x150Prudence Daniels, an ELPS Masters graduate, is a Lead Partner of the Denver Green School. As part of the Denver Green School, Prudence works to create a unique “hands-on, brains-on experience” for their students. Her hard work with co-lead Frank Coyne was recognized by Chalkbeat with other rising innovation schools leaders.
