The Morgridge College of Education provides state of the art technologies for faculty, staff, and students. In order to keep these technologies running at the optimal level the college employes a full time technical support team. This team supports faculty and students by providing classroom technology support, maintaining the college’s computer labs, supporting the colleges web presence, providing event AV support, managing the colleges software and licensing, and much more.

Members of the technical support team are always available during hours of operation and can be found in room 210 or reached at 303-871-3222. You can also e-mail MCE.Support@du.edu.

Primary Responsibilities: Oversee Morgridge College of Education's website, acting as the point of contact and coordinating final website language with appropriate individuals, ensuring that website language is vetted before posting.  Provide strategic recommendations to keep the website viable and user friendly while also maintaining MCE marketing strategies.  Subject matter expert in website building and maintenance. Supervises and manages Tech team GA and Web Technology positions. Responsible for workstation computer purchasing, planning, inventory, and deployment. Subject matter expert on desktop support. Oversees software management, purchasing, and inventory. Responsible for administration of Active Directory, virtual machines and other network resources at the college. Identifies telepresence solutions and supports telepresence maintenance and events.

AS in Music and Video Business, Colorado Institute of Art; Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Infocomm; Licensed Low Voltage Electrician in the states of CO, WY, UT, ICC.

Primary responsibilities: Oversees all Morgridge College of Education events. Provide technical support, identifying audio visual requirements including, consulting and operating equipment, deploying event technologies. Supervises and manages Student Lab monitors and Classroom Technology Technician positions. Responsible for classroom technology and building hardware support, planning, and inventory. Subject matter expert on audio visual hardware and equipment throughout the building. Manages and maintains the student computer lab. Responsible for the management and deployment of Cisco Phones setup including port, MAC address information, name and voice mail resets, Liaison to telephone services. Responsible for quarterly door code changes for all classrooms, suites, and meeting spaces within the college. Responsible for the management, inventory, and purchasing of printers and copiers in the building. Provides back up support for 25live event scheduling and approvals for MCE while Abigail is out.

Primary responsibilities: oversees facilities and technology operations for Katherine A. Ruffatto Hall including event scheduling within the building; is the Human Resources administrator overseeing HR functions for MCE; and coordinates the review and approval of all MOUs and contracts for MCE.

The college has an array of equipment that faculty staff and students can check out. They may check out any item for up to 3 days. Late returns or stolen items may result in your degree being with held or fines.

Due to liability issues the technical support team does not support personal computers. For assistance with your personal computer please contact University Technical services at 303-871-4700

Does the technical support team provide software for students?

The technical support team does not provide software of any kind for students.
