Event Details

Emerging technology in education follows the same trend as all forms of technology – constantly improving and featuring an array of functions that are useful to those utilizing it. However, the ways technology can be used in schools are seemingly endless, and giving it purpose in learning environments can be difficult.

This institute will support educators in mitigating the inevitable learning curve associated with some of the emerging technology in education. Participants will also be tasked with reassessing some of the technology that has been moved out of the circle of “innovative” and into to the area of “obsolete,” and discover new ways to use this tech in their school or classroom.

Ultimately, this institute will cover technology in many areas (Raspberry Pi’s, G Suite, cutting-edge robotics such as Sphero, Dash, and Dot, QR Codes, Osmo for iPhones and iPads, etc.) and leverage expert facilitators, all while exploring how education technology can be integrated into learning environments to increase student engagement exponentially.
