01nov3:00 pm6:00 pmThe Freud /Ferenczi Letters: A Staged Reading

Event Details

Four prominent clinicians will enact a staged reading of selected letters from a remarkable correspondence between Sigmund Freud and Sandor Ferenczi. This dramatic reading highlights the history of the founders of “the talking cure.” The complex emotional texture of this highly creative relationship led to the growth of the practice of psychotherapy.  Many of the issues that each of us face in our daily clinical practice will be illuminated by an appreciation of how Freud and Ferenczi confronted the challenges of their psychotherapeutic work. Discussion and reception to follow.
