To commemorate the 185th Anniversary of Turner’s Rebellion and the United Nations’ International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition, the University Libraries invite you to a community-building presentation with musical illustrations provided by Dr. Jones. He will address the ongoing fight for freedom, and the positive energy around collective resistance in our efforts to thwart oppression.

Featuring Dr. Art Jones, Teaching Professor, Lamont School of Music, and Founder, The Spirituals Project with welcoming remarks by Chancellor Rebecca Chopp
