The Race in Colorado initiative, tells the stories of diverse families of color–and how Colorado is working to overcome disparity. The initiative is led by Rocky Mountain PBS, with support from the Denver Foundation, the Women’s Foundation, and the Morgridge College of Education,
The goal of the initiative is to create a new vision of what life can look like for diverse families, to illustrate how systemic change can help foster healing between communities, bring focus to education and graduation rates, bring awareness to inequalities in justice, hiring, housing, etc.
The initiative begins with a four-part documentary, Standing in the Gap, which focuses on race and Colorado schools.
