Dr. Garriott accepts new doctoral students in 2021-2022. Patton O. Garriott (he/him) received his PhD from the University of Missouri. His work examines how structural conditions shape and can be changed to support educational and career opportunities. Within this broader area, his research examines: access and equity in higher education, persistence in STEM fields, and race, social class, and mental health. He has served on the American Psychological Association Committee on Socioeconomic Status, Executive Board of the Society of Vocational Psychology, and is currently Associate Editor for the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education and Journal of Career Assessment.
