Westermann comes to Morgridge College from the Texas A&M System where she was the head of the advertising program at West Texas A&M. During her 13 years as a faculty member, Westermann taught a full range of advertising, public relations, and media undergraduate courses. She also served as the advisor of the university’s competitive advertising team, Buffalo Advertising. Under her supervision, the team rose to become one of the most competitive student advertising teams in the nation, most recently placing 2nd in the nation in the American Advertising Federation student competition. Prior to her academic career, Westermann served in a number of leadership roles for journalism, advertising and corporate communication entities. She is honored to play a role in telling the Morgridge change-agent story to prospective students, educational leaders, and media organizations. When not on campus, Westermann can be found exploring the Colorado outdoors with her pound-pup Saba, or following the adventures of her two young-adult children on Snapchat.
