  • Health & Safety Policy

Our team prioritizes the health and safety of every student through strong partnerships and coordinated care. We collaborate closely with a school nurse to support student well-being, respond to health needs, and ensure appropriate care plans are in place when needed. Teachers also receive ongoing professional development on an annual basis, including CPR training, first aid administration, safe sleep practices, and accident prevention courses to ensure they are prepared to maintain a safe and responsive learning environment.

  • Fisher's Food & Nutrition Program

Fisher Early Learning Center partners with DU’s official food provider, Sodexo, to provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks to each classroom every day. The center follows the Colorado Food Program (CFP) and the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federal nutrition program that helps ensure children in care settings receive well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks that meet established dietary guidelines and supports consistent meal quality and access for all children.

In addition, DU is an ALLERGY AWARE facility and works closely with Sodexo to accommodate a range of dietary needs, including milk alternatives, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options, to ensure all children are safely and thoughtfully supported during mealtimes.
