FAB Structure
The Fisher Advisory Board is comprised of committees organized around various needs of the School with a member (or members) serving as Chair(s) to help move progress forward. Existing committees include:
Events Committee
The Events Committee plays a vital role in organizing school-wide related events. The Events Committee partners closely with the Fundraising Committee to raise funds that are used to provide supplemental materials for students, professional development for teachers, various items for classrooms and Fisher as a whole. If you’d like to help plan and organize Fisher events, please email the Fisher Advisory Board.
Fundraising Committee: Over the years, volunteer fundraising has contributed to the purchase of new playground equipment, classroom supplies, and items for teacher appreciation events and professional development days. Most recently, fundraising enabled multiple teaching staff members to travel within Colorado and out of state to participate in and present at national conferences. Fundraising activities also can include restaurant fundraisers, King Soopers reward program, and annual events such as the Fall Gala and the Book Fair. This group of volunteers partners closely with the Events Committee and with the Director of Development to understand how philanthropy can help address the needs of the School. If you have experience with corporate fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, or just want to help out, please email the Fisher Advisory Board.
Room Parents
Room Parents are an essential part of our Center. Organized and supported by the Room Parent Chair on the FAB, each classroom should at least one Room Parent volunteer to manage the classroom donation budget, assist in the organization of classroom events for families, orienting new parents/guardians, providing a link between home and school, as well as various other tasks. These parents/guardians are an essential link in building strong family partnerships and are valuable resources. If you are interested in volunteering to be a Room Parent for a school year, please speak with your teaching team or email the Fisher Advisory Board.

Get Involved
We know each of us carry special talents and gifts and as a member of the Fisher community there’s a hope—and an invitation—that you share your time, talent, or treasure. There are many ways to participate:
🔹 Join the Fisher Advisory Board!
We are actively seeking to build the roster of our Board, and invite everyone to consider joining us. FAB has a few committees that need volunteers:
🔹 Events Committee
Help plan joyful community events that enrich the school experience and connect our families.
🔹 Fundraising Committee
Join efforts to raise funds that support our teachers, inclusion team, scholarships, playground enhancements and more.
🔹 Room Parents
Serve as a key connector between families and teachers in your child’s classroom—welcoming new families, organizing classroom activities, and helping with communication.
Again, we’re always eager for new volunteers and fresh ideas. If you'd like to get involved, want to share connections with us or have ideas on how we can grow, email us at fisheradvisoryboard@gmail.com.
