Dr. Brownstone Libby is Clinical Associate Professor in Counseling Psychology. They spend their time teaching emerging counselors and psychology trainees about psychotherapy, and directing the Bodies Eating and Emotions (BEE) Lab, a team that does scholarship related to disordered eating, weight stigma, gender affirming care, and group psychotherapy.

Professional Biography

Dr. Brownstone Libby (she/they) completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by her predoctoral clinical internship at Denver VA Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Eating Disorder Care (EDCare) of Denver. Her areas of clinical and research specialization include disordered eating and body distress, weight stigma, gender affirming care, group psychotherapy, and qualitative methods. Dr. Brownstone Libby identifies as a social justice advocate psychologist and is passionate about non-value neutral practice. Outside of work, Dr. Brownstone Libby plays fiddle and guitar, and loves spending time with her family.
