Professional Biography

Ron Roybal is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Denver, Morgidge College of Education. Ron has over 20 years of experience working in higher education supporting inclusion and belonging. Ron’s strong belief that all children with and without disabilities thrive in the Least Restrictive Environments (LRE) drives his work at the University of Denver as he supports various state Department of Education (DE) and their programs. He is a trainer for the National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations, Pyramid Model Consortium and Prevent Teach Reinforce for Young Children, along with other inclusionary programs. He has been involved with nationally funded projects such as Learning Experience an Alternative Program for Preschoolers and Parents (LEAP), a program specifically designed for Autistic students and their neurotypical peers. He also supported other research projects like the Colorado Autism Project, Professional Development in Autism.  Prior to being a trainer and coach at the University of Denver, Ron spent 10 years as a teacher in an early childhood inclusive classroom. His experience as a teacher and now as a coach brings a unique view of inclusion.
