Dr. Roberts received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral Level (BCBA-D). Previously, he served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique, a Fulbright-Hayes Scholar in Ethiopia, and a special education teacher in Hawaii and Oregon. He also held the title of a project director for a multi-site NICHD funded Learning Disability Resource Center (LDRC) that developed and implemented a multi-component reading with self-regulation intervention for students with reading comprehension deficits in grades 3-5. He is also the principal investigator on an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) grant to develop a reading intervention for upper elementary students with or at-risk for reading difficulties and attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder.
